金裝律師 第一季的劇情簡介：大學輟學生邁克（帕特里克·J·亞當斯 Patrick J. Adams 飾），在一次販毒失敗後闖進了一個高材生雲集的招聘會，原來這是曼哈頓最著名的律師哈維（蓋布瑞·馬赫特 Gabriel Macht 飾）在招聘律師助手。在眾多哈佛高材生中，哈維看中了聰明機警、記憶力發達的邁克。盡管他發現邁克非但不是哈佛法學院學生，而且他還有吸大麻的惡習，但他還是決定瞞著上司，招邁克做助手。於是，哈維和邁克組成了一支「金裝組合」，在律師事務所中成為常勝搭檔。
邁克雖然有著天才般的頭腦，但在法律上他還是一名新手，加入事務所之後遇到了各種難題，而冷麵律師哈維並沒有對他處處提點，因此邁克總是四處碰壁，而哈維的對手路易更是處處刁難他。
